Our Torres — the commercial swordfishing boat — is in the boatyard this week getting dialed in. She should be back on the water by Friday.
Inshore has been very productive, with a lot of catch-and-release action on big snook and tarpon. We've also been putting anglers on quality snapper — mostly mangrove snapper, with a few nice mutton snapper mixed in. Bait is thick inshore right now, which has the fish fired up.
Offshore has had its challenges, with a lot of sargassum (seaweed) making things tougher at times. Still, we've managed some mahi, sailfish, and kingfish, plus no shortage of bonito. Bait has been showing up strong offshore too.
The mangrove snapper bite has been good and should really turn on around the next new moon — book now if you want in on it.
